It's cheap, durable, puts out a ton of firepower and is very versatile. However, the biggest advantage of the Vulture imo is that it has the Vector Dancer rule, which means that you can easily line up your shots, don't have to expose the Vulture's rear armor very often, and it can stay on the board most of the time. Afaik the Vulture is the only AV12 flyer with Vector Dancer.Sindrihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02219054367037699906noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6593111645312644614.post-66326058579219708392014-10-07T13:56:11.451+11:002014-10-07T13:56:11.451+11:00The Vulture is incredible for its points whether a...The Vulture is incredible for its points whether as a ground suppression platform or as an aircraft hunter, unlike the Valkyrie and Vendetta it has yet to see a price increase to match the new codex. From memory that is my pick for the best aircraft available to the Imperial Guard, but then again I haven't checked the rules for the Avenger, Lightning, Thunderbolt, etc in ages. Still, the Vendetta and Valkyrie are good enough if you want to stick with the GW rules and models. Assuming your army doesn't need the deep strike transport ability, would a Vulture fit the same anti-tank strafer role? Or is it the same "go big or go home" as most GW stuff, where there is an asymptotic growth in effectiveness as you spend more points on something (and so it's really better to just spend more and get a Vendetta?)halojones-fanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05473935330204075559noreply@blogger.com
