It is unfortunate that you can no longer really tailor your list to specific powers, which used to be common - and it isn't the best in terms of tournament play.
That really isn't a bad idea for a potential discussion, I believe either myself or L2E did a series of forum posts at one stage discussing the merits of random elements and the design of 6th overall.
We may do an article in the coming week on the subject if we take a break from the Eldar - related articles.
Thanks for the feedback and the idea!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17558640637533882553noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6593111645312644614.post-70076739922861755002013-06-11T19:08:52.045+10:002013-06-11T19:08:52.045+10:00Excellent post as all the other ones I've read...Excellent post as all the other ones I've read. People have complained a lot about powers going random. Personally I like the randomness a lot, even though I enjoy optimising lists for tournaments most of the games I play.

The reason I enjoy the randomness is that apart from death mission which seems like the odd one out in many ways, all the powers have an application - all it really changes is how you use the farseer.

This means you can play the same list but very differently every time. I find that without randomness, playing similar lists becomes stale very quickly.

Would love to hear your thoughts on this though (unless there already is an article somewhere that I've managed to miss).Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12580526633801061557noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6593111645312644614.post-37219577029383095452013-06-11T18:07:36.187+10:002013-06-11T18:07:36.187+10:00Thank you :) Thank you :) Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04199060698563105464noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6593111645312644614.post-88274596621668427642013-06-11T18:07:24.790+10:002013-06-11T18:07:24.790+10:00Cheers!Cheers!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04199060698563105464noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6593111645312644614.post-16820251896369343692013-06-11T11:21:24.856+10:002013-06-11T11:21:24.856+10:00I've been meaning to say that I absolutely lov...I've been meaning to say that I absolutely love your posts.
