Work in Progress

Hey guys, Learn2Eel here for a quick update! I had a break over Christmas to enjoy some quality time with my family, hence the lack of blogging. However, progress has resumed and the next Space Marine article should be up tomorrow night. Even with that delay in work, the Space Marine Tactica series should be completely finished before Tyranids are released. And if it isn't, I'll make sure to continue work on it even as I review the new book. Thanks for the support guys!

Tyranid "Apex Biomorphs" Thoughts

Tyranid Rules Compilation and Thoughts

Howdy everyone, my name is Learn2Eel and today I have a different kind of article for you. Tyranids are my favourite Warhammer 40000 army, and as we all know by now, they are about to receive a massive update with several new kits, including a few updates to older ones. However, what many are interested in most of all are how the codex itself shapes up in-game; will this be the defining Tyranid codex to wipe away the sins of the 5th Edition incarnation? We can only hope that it gives us more reason to include numerous diverse army lists, and the early rules leaks have left me hopeful.

Updating the Portals

Hey guys, Learn2Eel here with a quick update! Tonight, after posting that new Space Marine Tactica article, I resolved to fix up our 'Hobby Portal' and, most important of all, the 'Tactics Portal' so that all those articles I've put up lately - including the ever numerous Space Marine ones - can be found with but two clicks! This will make viewing the extensive Space Marine series far easier, and it will also allow me to more effectively do those 'Revisited' articles I kicked off earlier this year when I had a second look at Wraith armies following the new Eldar codex. I hope this makes browsing my Tacticas a far easier endeavour for you, and I will make sure to list any future articles either in the 'Hobby Portal' or 'Tactics Portal' for future viewing! Tyranid Pictures on BoLS!

Hey guys, Learn2Eel here with a special update; the new Tyranid models have been leaked, and oh my, THEY ARE SO AMAZING! This is in my opinion, even just from crappy low-resolution photos, the *best* release of 6th Edition so far. Fantastic, absolutely fantastic! All is Well

Learn2Eel here with a very quick update to let you guys know that all is still well in the world of Imperator Guides, well, that is if you don't count putting up new content. It's just been a busy week and that is really all that is going on. I'm not sick or anything like that, so there ain't nothing stopping this train! The next Space Marine articles won't take long at all once I get around to them, and really, there's only about six or seven left for me to do anyway. The Vampire and Necron stuff might get a pass depending on what is released in January, but we can wait and see on that one. As it stands, those new data-slate and battle-scroll mini rules updates GW are doing are awesome, in my opinion. I won't be covering any of them as they cost around $10 each or something along those lines down under, so I will give them a miss for now what with money being tight around Christmas. However, from what I read about the first one - Be'lakor - the fact that he can be used by a total of four armies from both 40K and Fantasy, and what I've read of his 40K rules, is pretty darn cool.

I can't wait to see where Games Workshop go with these mini updates in the future, and having these inserts "back" from the old Chapter Approved days will be a great way to add rules for models without a codex or army book entry! Some prime examples of these are Imrik for High Elves, Nagash for Tomb Kings/Vampire Counts, and hey, maybe even a unique Keeper of Secrets! And did someone mention (drum roll) the Red Terror? *Gasp!* It is an exciting year of hobby ahead, and I really look forward to what is coming out. Just a quick heads up for all of you amazing fans, and I hope you enjoy the Christmas spirit! Also, I know it is a bit late, but Happy Thanksgiving for our North American fans!
